Conventional Calibration Devices for RPT and MRPT Techniques

Manual and automated RPT and MRPT calibration devices are available in the laboratories to be used before conducting any RPT experiment. These devices position the radioactive particles at known location inside the reactor of the system to be studied while it is operated at the same conditions of the desired RPT experiment to mimic the radiation attenuation. The automated calibration device allows the movement of the particles by computer in three directions (z, r, and θ). Also the device has been designed in a way that any invasive probe or measurement technique can be attached to the device rod and the measurement can be made in three directions inside the system under investigation.
